Did Not Our Hearts Burn - Luke 24:13-35

Guest speaker Lucas Parks, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, preached from Luke 24 about living the reality of the resurrection. If Jesus really did rise again from the grave then it changes everything! Just as Jesus opened the scriptures to the disciples and showed them all things concerning himself, so can we now see our lives in the light of Jesus who is seen clearly throughout the whole of scripture. But this begs the question, are you living in this amazing reality of a God who fulfills all of our desires or are you clinging to counterfeit saviors who will never be able to satisfy?

Reading of 1 Timothy - Feb 15, 2015

Due to sickness on Sunday morning Pastor John Murphy was unable to preach from our scheduled text in 1 Timothy. In lieu of a sermon our Worship Director, Jacob Warren, read the entire letter of 1 Timothy aloud as people were encouraged to read along. This might sound strange to us but it would have been quite common for the early church. Just as it was often instructed to read the letter aloud in the public gathering (Col. 4:16) we did likewise. We hold highly the authority of God's word and reading the text aloud to allow it to speak for itself is a way we can put God's truth on display without distraction. Although this was unplanned we hope that this will be an helpful in pointing to our need for Jesus and the sufficiency of His word.

The audio quality is very poor. We thought it best to share the poor quality audio from the sermon rather than not sharing at all knowing that many at Veritas rely on listening to the audio when they are prevented from attending the service. These issues will be resolved quickly. We love you guys! (It may be best to listen without headphones)
